Ever heard of Raw Foodism? Synonym: Living Foods, Hippocrates Health, etc.?
Ever heard of David Wolfe, Stephen Arlin, R.C. Dini, Viktoras Kulvinskas, Brian Clement, Johnny Lovewisdom, Arnold Ehret? They all promote a high-raw to all-raw vegetarian diet. Some straight-edgers are raw foodists too.
Also, Aajonas Vonderplanitz is a Raw Food figure extolling the consumption of raw meat. There is one Frenchman who has taken this to the extreme: he paces around his garden pulling snails off leaves and eating them (!!!) raw. Can you imagine?
As you can see, not all Raw Foodists are in agreement, nor should they be: every-body is different! Personally I find the diet quite liberating: I cannot imagine eating any other way most of the time. The recipes (contrary to what one may assume) allow broad diversity of dishes. Hence, to be a Raw Foodist is to thrive on the food of another culture: a healthful co-culture.
(Did you know that pasteurized cheese sticks in the bowels for up to a month? If you eat cheese constantly your going to die with a few pounds in your bowels? Raw cheese and seed cheese does not have the same effect and you actually get real nutrition from them!)
