THe same mass media marketing culture that has found images of self indulgent, impulsive, shallow people to be of such great use in selling products has produced sex-obsessed masses that breed like rabbits and hardly know how to care for themselves let alone their progeny. It's not a conspiracy that this also happens to lead to larger masses of potential consumers with more mental time to devote to watching mass media crap that keeps the cycle going. It's not a conspiracy to believe that it also leads to a glut of bodies in the labor market which drives wages and working conditions down. It's also not a conspiracy to believe that SOMEONE has noticed this trend and might have no interest in stopping it. If you mess with people's minds to make a buck, don't pass off the consequences onto your victims. It's like the guy who brags about selling someone a piece of shit product. It's not that marketers fucked these people's minds up, it's that they were stupid..those little kids. They were stupid and made some bad choices and watched some bad shows. Those little kids. And where were the parents? (Like they actually want people to turn the TV off during their commercial.) This is ALSO a typical business person's mentality. I have never met a more concentrated bunch of mistake-phobes in my life. Not only WON'T you entertain the notion that your philosophy is anti-social, hurts people and makes you appear something of a monster philisophically if not in reality. But you will then go on to convince the victims that they are somehow bad people for being victimized. Capitalism is a failed experiment that didn't stand a chance in the first place. How do you support a community of people by setting them at each other's throats for basic survival and the chance at a minor monarchy? You don't. How does anybody but the guy with the most money win in a game where the guy with the most money makes the most money? Eventually the big fish eats all the other fish. That's the end game of capitalism. (And by the way..the only way you stave that endgame off and keep society flourishing as it used to back when licorice whips were 5 for a penny..is to tax the CRAP out of the very wealthy. Top tax rates used to be 90% back then and we had a luxury tax too. Redistribution of wealth keeps capitalism going, otherwise it's a dead end that devalues money to hide its death throes.) This is what I believe: No child chooses to come into this world or to be subject to the laws of men and the conditions that we have created on this planet. It NOT the responsibility of the individual to be another man's slave, simply because one had a grandfather born in the 1840s who happened to be a ruthless, cold-hearted railroad tycoon and one was born to poor, working class people. IT is not his responsibility to scrabble for basic existence for as long as he is required to be subject to man's laws. Make him subject to a squirrel's law and you can ask him to scrabble for existence like a squirrel. Otherwise, you are forcing a partial condition of servitude upon him which mankind has no right to. That exchange must come at a cost to society which demands it's right to administer that law. Let me repeat that: If you ask a man to be subject to your laws instead of his own, then you take partial responsibility for him as you would a servant. His basic food and shelter is the responsibility of the very society that would have him subject to its authority. Anything beyond a basic subsistence is his own to acquire or be blessed with. "While you're under my roof, you'll follow my rules!" Alright..well we're being FORCED to follow the rules..by strangers. Where's that roof motherfuckers?
