keil_says_goodbye
keil Hello all my fellow blatherskites. As you can tell, I am being forced to leave these most hallowed pages. My school is banning all sites that they see as innapropriate and any site they haven't personally recognized as school fiendly. They, to my knowledge, have yet to discover this sanctum, but yet will ban it for it lacking intellectual materials imperitive to my school career. I also don't have a computer at home to use instead. The library in town uses the same server or something like that and so experiences the same firewalls. Any proxy uses are just asking for the ever-watching eyes to put your computer on lockdown and go take a look at who's using them. Alas, I fear they have thought of everything, so I bid you all ado. I will miss these wonderful blue pages. This will likely be my last day on blather, and I intend to go forth and blathe for the last time before passing quietly into the silent blue. 061218

Death of a Rose maybe just say a fond adieu, as I'm sure at some point in your future life you'll appear back on these blue pages.

Till then, mon ami.

pete sorry for the terseness in the other blathe, i'm in academia mode, thinking too much about some things, not enough about other. don't worry though there is academic value in everything, just keep your eyes open and find your own truths (because the one is a false shield for the many). blather lives, until the day it is no more, but hopefully that day is far away. come back when you can and swim in this sea of blue again...

cheers

birdmad if the firewall they put up is as inconsistent and weird as mine, you can still blathe but some individual blathes will be locked out. 061219

u24 search for phpproxy, you should be able to get past most firewalls pretty easily (unless it's whitelist-based instead of blacklist)

for read-only access to blather, try puremango.co.uk/blight.php - but don't try to add to blathes using blight - it doesn't work.

grendel i'll assume Whitelist means that it operates against a pre-approved set of URL's and Blacklist means general content blockage based on context or reference (or something in the URL that it considers to be too dodgy for the office) 061219

keils friend Hey everybody! Keil asked if I could get on and check this page for him! I did and told him what you all said. He wanded to say thanks and reply to a few. First to u24: Its a firewall that blocks frequently visited sites on multiple computers. He said he visited blather multiple times a day on many different computers, only commenting on a few. If the Administrator finds anyone using a PHP, then He'll lock down the computer and the user will get priveledges taken away. Pete: He said he knows it was only a short time, but he was trying to get others to post. Doar: He said it's been fun blathing with you, and that he doesn't speak french. Everyone else: Thanks for blathing and he hopes that you never become seperated from the blue. Whew, that was a lot to write, but now he owes me $5!!! 070202
