Yahoo! Search President Bush (War_president / Commander_in_Chief) heads into his second term amid deep and growing public skepticism about the Iraq war ("a_wrong_war_in_21k"), with a solid majority saying for the first time that the war was a mistake and most people believing that Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld should lose his job, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll. 041220

a "point". 56 percent to conclude that, given the cost, the conflict there was "not worth fighting" -- an eight-point increase from when the same question was asked this summer, and the first time a decisive majority of people have reached this conclusion. 041220

dandy the bombing is just a symptom. the udnerlying cause of the protracted conflict is the notion that one must silence the other. The sunnis are kept away from the bargaining table of peace so have no investment stake in what is being built. the americans have not unequivocally stated they will leave. they are attempted to impose peace. Peace is not imposable. only silence is.

people want to defend themselves from further revenge. some just want an end. all sides have to agree that they want to be respected and have their voices heard. but to heard there needs to be respectful listening.

that can only be done once there are genuine gestures of living and let live between sunni, shi'ite, kurds, left, right and middle. people need to speak up loudly enough and ignore the american occupation as much as possible and prove they discpline themselves into conflict resolution despite armed raids.
