disorderly_pothead dafremen I went to jail the other day. I wonder how many people have been charged with disorderly conduct AND having a pot pipe. It can't be THAT many (except maybe at some anti-something-or-other demonstration.) It just defies logic is all I'm saying. I most certainly wasn't disorderly. It's very difficult to find the energy to be disorderly when you're high. The closest I've seen to a disorderly pothead was when my friend lost his weed. And that doesn't count because he WASN'T HIGH anymore. (Which is why he was looking for his weed. I also saw a minor skirmish over the last bag of mini brownies back in 2006, but it was resolved peacefully with one brownie apiece and an even split of the third.) Yea so I go to jail for disorderly conduct, because that was what this particular cop-with-an-attitude decided to make up..er charge me with. (It was the third charge he'd threatened me with after: public intoxication and disrupting a police investigation. Somebody was grudging and power tripping. I felt for the man and wanted very badly to buy him a bearclaw and a small coffee. Being tackled to the ground remedied that pretty quickly.) Then when he dove in my pockets after the arrest, he found my pot pipe. So there was charge number two. Fortunately, they didn't find any weed. And I know what you're thinking: "That's why you got disorderly conduct, daf. You didn't have any weed." No my friends, let me assure you that I was high as a KITE when they put the cuffs on. 140921 ... dafremen I suppose I should mention that I'd just put a serious house fire out with very little water pressure coming from a shitty garden hose. The fire was out 2 minutes before the first officer arrived on the scene. The harassing..er arresting officer was the first officer on the scene. 140921 ... dafremen The neighbors were all surprised and pissed at the cop. Even the ones who usually STAUNCHLY defend the police and their tendency to overreach their authority. They've all agreed to sign affidavit stating that I was not only NOT disorderly, I was actually being HELPFUL! I could get the charge dropped. They're going to keep all of my money anyway. The pot pipe? Can't get around it. It's no contest. At least they didn't charge me for marijuana possession because of the resin. (Bastards got a month's worth of dank nug build up. Truly that does seem more than just a bit excessive and uncalled for, this isent fucking football! Hell with a response like that they’d likely arrest someone for ~returning~ a stolen purse!! Damn idiots act like you set the fire and were roasting marshmallows! This is just so wrong to me Was there anyone (pets?) inside, is everyone alright? What you did was brave and should be recognized as such, I hope at least whoever owned the house was appreciative. Also it’s good to know the neighborhood is banding behind you in support and willing to defend you in this.
