blather_big_fat_envelope_project
frAnk due to the recent disappearance of the blather_journey_book, i have an idea.

this is not intended to replace mahayana's original idea because i was the first one to participate in her project and was priviledged to do so. this idea will perhaps provide another venue for 'skites to handwrite and create and send something off and receive something as well.

the idea: take a sheet of paper and do your thing, and then send it in a large envelope to the next person on the list. whoever receives it
will do the same but when they send it on they will include the previous work as well, and so on...as it goes around the world, perhaps it could stop at ten or twelve sheets so it doesn't get too heavy. it can be sent back to the original person. and then another one can be started.

this will be less expensive than the book.

my suggestion is for mahayana to report who is next on the list for the journey book. they can email me with their address and i will get it rolling.

but you must pledge in all honesty to do your part if you are going to be on the list. someone has the journey book.

what do you think?

It's a good idea, yes, but it's unfortunate that the journey book can't be continued. I saw and added to the red book. It's beautiful...I understand why somebody would want to keep it-but I don't understand how they could be selfish about it...

daxle I think that's a wonderful idea, but I think perhaps a new list should be started because a lot of the blatherers on the original list aren't around anymore.
And, jenna responded and said that she hadn't had time to add to the blather book yet and she was thinking about just sending it on as it was. You can email her at jenna@jennatollerson.com.

sabbie ive got a plan

i loved that our blather_buddahess scanned the start of the book in and put it on the net.

for those that never saw it before it disappeared, well, we never saw it.

instead of sending them in big envelopes, why not do your thing on an A4 paper or two, then send it to someone and they can scan it in and send it to somewhere to someone that will collate them and put them on the net.

alternativly, scan your own thing in and send it to the blathercyberbook curator

blathercyberbook - i want to see the list of volunteers. [dont list your names here, list em under blathercyberbook] if you guys are keen then i'll do the curatoring and web stuff..

tourist Sorry that I'm Such an Idiot, But What Exactly is an A4 Paper?
And Yes, If Scanning the Original Journey Book Were Possible, I Would love to see It.
I Always Hesitated To Join The Project Because I Always Wanted to See It As a Nearly Finished Piece, Rather Than in It's Humble (Yet I Am Sure Elegant) Beginnings.

sabbie tourist, my darling tourist, a4 paper is the normal sized paper people buy and put in their printers and typewriters and stuff.

what do you guys call it?

and does that mean you are interested?

a bird in the office supplies "eight-and a-half by eleven" or "letter" 020920

tourist Yeah "8 1/2 X 11"
That's what it's called.
And Yes Once I Get the Scanner software reinstalled I'd be inclined to drop something into the mix.
Thank you

frAnk after it's scanned could it be stuffed in the blather big fat envelope so we can touch it, turn it about with our hands, smell the possible fragrance, and then send it on its way to the next 'skite? 020921

daxle I have a scanner too, but I reckon it'd be easier for people to take their stuff to a copy place than send it across the country and wait for it to come back... 020921
