daf Whenever the subject of 2012 comes up, it seems that everyone is instantly polarized into one of two camps:

1. Those who believe that something is going to happen, hereafter known as: the kooks.

2. Those who are "too smart" to waste their time believing in superstitious crap..hereafter known as: the paralyzed.

Now the kooks are usually either figuring out how to run for the hills, or selling all of their stuff..but mostly they just like to sit around..somewhat smug and confident in the knowledge that they are the "smart" ones..patting each other on the back and speculating wildly about what may or may not be coming down the pike come the big Mayan "End of the Age."

And while the minor predictors and gods of the New Age enlighten us with their visions of what the future holds..the oh-so-educated (read: inoculated against being "made the fool" with prepackaged notions of what is and isn't worth knowing and/or believing) they tsk tsk, smirk and poo-poo. THEY won't be doing anything different because of 2012. Not they..they're too smart to believe in such b.s...right? No..they are just in the habit of using words to justify not doing anything differently. (They also take issue with anything that disagrees with them, since they have been trained since secondary school that to be WRONG is a cardinal sin..and that it's much better to successfully argue a LIE than it is to be humbled and open ourselves to Truth's many mysteries.)

So which is it? Is the end of the world coming? IS some big change coming? IS the Rapture coming or the Resurrection or the Apocalypse? Or is it all a bunch of the same hysterical crap we've seen before? Is it more likely that the turning of the year from 2012 to 2013 will be as eventful or uneventful as any other?

Frankly I don't think it matters much. I'm of the opinion that it doesn't matter what's coming..what matters is what we're doing from moment to moment..day to day.

Which is why I'm suggesting to EVERYONE that we EMBRACE Armageddon. Think about it...how smart is it REALLY to argue our way out of a convenient excuse to throw caution to the wind and do everything we've ever dreamed?

When's the next predicted end of the Age/World that's also the end of the Mayan calendar? Well hell, son...why are you so set on being convinced? Don't you see that you're free now?

If we're all dying next year anyway..what's to be afraid of anymore? Take a chance..make it happen. Find a way. Live life by the seat of your pants from now until Jan. 2013 and never look back.

And should the world end..you'll have no regrets. You'll have given it all you had..before the end came.

But should New Year's 2013 roll around instead..we'll stand around, laugh and share all that we've accomplished..congratulate ourselves for having taken such clever advantage of prophecy.

Maybe then..we'll find ourselves looking ahead...for another "doomsday" prophecy to believe in..for another Armageddon to grab hold of and ride into our wildest dreams. 		110630
