"I used to get so angry at the fact that the universe was not fair. Until one day I realised that it would be far worse if the universe was fair, and all the terrible things that happened to us happened because we deserved them. Now I take great joy at the general hostility and unplesentness of the universe."

Good for you. Take it even one step further. Realize that perfect paradise would be mundane and boring if it were constant pleasure without pain. Painful times make mediocre times heavenly by comparison.

between his vomit, a friend of mine said: "two parallel lasers are shot in the universe of earth. but because of the curve of the planet(?) when they reach the universe of space, they become perpendicular.. and that, my friends, is the love of god."

The love of God is the ability to have thought of such a thing. To see a leaf with your own two eyes and to reach out and touch it. The love of God rides out the storm of our religions and lies waiting in the wings when we lie silent listening to the sound of our own breathing, the chirp of crickets outside our bedroom window, the cool drink of water on a hot day and the feel of a hot shower after a morning spent shovelling snow, tasty cocoa waiting with a thick terrycloth towel afterward. The love of God calls to us, but we rarely answer with but cries for more and more. Perhaps this is misery´s secret, perhaps this is the why behind the pain that we sometimes feel, perhaps it is simply because in the short moments that we feel all of these simple pleasures are absent, our hearts at last grow fonder. Just look deep into YOUR heart and you will find: Appreciation knows misery and pain for the boon to business that they are, and is happy to have the company.

what is funny of what i said, is the fact that my friend was really drunk, and that's the only way he could conceive such stupid commentary. his words ("love of god") smelled like vomit.
