Wind Chimes originated as a method in Feng Shui to increase Chi. The wind chimes need to be made of hollow tubes, and preferably in groups of six or seven. The energy is collected and raised through the tubes, raising Chi (or Ki/kai). Both the elements of wood and metal can be used. *bows to mahayana* may your Chi be raised, and through your devotion ours also.

He said he loved wind chimes and always wanted some outside his window, so I bought him some really nice ones for his birthday. He was so happy, I was excited for him to hear them while he slept and when he woke up, while he wrote his stories. He wrote his name on them so his brother would know not to touch them and then kept them in a shoe box under his bed, then in his closet when he moved and had his mattress on the floor. I asked if we could hang them up to hear them, he said he didn;t want them to get dirty or damaged. Sentimental value might be best assigned to things once they have had time to gather memories. holding onto the past before it happens. assuming that the future is coming. what if it's not? be_here_now nowow. each moment with you has sentimental valueternallly. I hope he lives in the present now, I hope someone hung up those wind chimes. I will be sure to hang my respective windchimes. I tend to also "save" things. I want to enjoy them, and save the memories. coming_soon.
