if the world revolves around the sun, how come we don't appear to be revolving. i mean east is still east and west is still west, why doesn't it change when we revolve?

If you think about it, it does seem like we are revolving. Otherwise the sun would not seem to come up and go down every day. If you're asking how one can tell that we're revolving around the sun and not the other way around, that's another question.
As for why east always seems to be east and west/west, that only works if you stay on one part of the planet. We do this simulation in elementary school that's quite useful for grasping the whole thing:
Put a lamp in the center- that's the sun. get a pole with a ball on it. Mark a point on the ball and pretend that's where you are on earth. Keep the stick tilted and rotate it slowly. Then start walking in circles around the lamp. Stop every 1/4th of a circle around to see what's going on.

I can't say I know a lot about medieval torture. If you gave me some choices I'd pick my favorite.
My understanding is that they weren't much for sex in the medieval days. My favorite torture is being on the edge of orgasm forseeminlyever. Therefore, probably not medieval, but who knows.

Well I can tell you a few of mine, and like you suggested maybe you can choose one you like.
Tie some one to a bed, slather their feet w/ honey, then apply an abundant amount of salt, now bring a goat in and have it lick the salt off the persons feet, the person will die from suffocation, unable to acquire the proper amount of breath needed bc they will be laughing so hard and continuously.
Theirs the traditional one of tieing rope around a persons arms and legs and then tieing the end of the rope to 4 horse buggies and then whip the horses really hard and the horses all run in 4 opposite directions thus literally pulling the person apart
Chain some one up and shove a _HOT_ poker like thing up their ass.
That’s just a few, I could go on but seeing as how you don't seem to know that much about the subject in the first place I'm guessing it's not a subject your too interested in so I'll spare you.
