we'll change the question till it is...cuz it's so darn fun and profitable...also...cool action figures come of it! And literature, where would we be if the iliad wasn't the centerpiece of our literary history and it was some lame book like the kama sutra?

peace is an impossible ideal. unless you can kill everyone that is militant and intolerant, you'll never see peace. ironic, eh?

So what should we strive for? War? Even if peace is an ideal, are ideals so bad? A world without crime is an ideal, or a world without hunger, or a world without... so we shouldn't still do what we can to eradicate what we can? Yours is an asinine argument, my little stick-shifting warhawk, and I'll beat your ass if you disagree.

what if there were a giant ogre and it was eating villagers by the dozens, and then one man killed the ogre. Suddenly a huge group of Ogre Anti-Defamation League people came and filed a lawsuit against the man, claiming he violated the ogre's right to be an ogre.

well i'd personally have to say that if you're nice to your enemies, after a while they're gonna become your friends or just resent your more... kill them with kindness... always fun..

True enough, great strides have occurred In the crucible of Mortal Combat. Leaps in Technology And Medicine (Especially Reconstructive Surgery) But in the Face of all this Territorial Bickering, Humankind is Blinding Themselves to the real Dangers that Threaten Us.Ecological Disruption, is One such Foe, But Even if we manage to correct our Shortsighted Greed and stabilize Our burgeoning population to live in Harmony with the Earth as a Whole, We still have more Dire Threats than this to Overcome. Asteroidal Impacts Will occur again as they have in the distant Past. Our Kind, in order to survive needs to draw on the Same traits that have Driven us since the Beginning, Namely Our Urge to Go beyond the next hill, cross the next River, Desert or Sea. Dare to cross beyond the Horizon that line that locks us to this Planetary Circle. We need to become Homo Celestes, To rise above Homo Sapiens, As Homo Sapiens Rose above Homo Erectus. It Is in the coding of Our DNA, The Destiny Of Our Dust Is to Regain the Stars. Will the New Race choose to Deflect the Incoming debris and save the place of its Birth, Or will They turn outward and away from the Unevolving Brutes who stay behind squabbling over the leftovers? Time will Tell.
