On the night before it's due I have about 8 sources out of a required ten. About thirty note cards out of a required 100, and I haven't myself written a single word. I did, however, copy and paste almost a whole internet site, edit parts out, change words, etc. etc. so the plagiarism detector won't pick up on it. All my citations were made up. I eventually just left a bunch of paragraphs without a cite, simply because I stopped giving a shit after a certain point. In the end I got something like 340/500 on the paper itself and some other horrible grade on the preparation part. This and the forgetting to turn in of a big folder resulted in a C- for the grading period. No biggie, but man I am going suck in college. 060405 ... poet you're going to suck in college? as in, you're not in college? as in, thats high school work?? what high school class assigns you a 10 page research paper? thats a fuckin lot of work! 060405 ... jane i had research papers that long in high school. gets you prepared for college, or at least that's the idea. all of my college papers were easier than those high school papers because in high school you have to prove you've done the steps, i.e. making note cards, writing an outline & a thesis...etc... in college you just do a line & sit down & write a fucking ten page paper about god knows what. just use a lot of quotes. 060406 ... poet jane didnt you go to DHS? 060406 ... falling_alone i don't understand the need to prepare with 10 page papers, but then again, i'm a design major and hardly have to write. 060413 ... stork daddy ten pages. that's insane. 060413 ... pete two exams and one take home to go. the take home is a ten page paper, which at the end of my third year of university is hardly enough to get any kind of point across at all :) next year's 30 pager will be nice.. my own little chapter to write!
