thc obtains it's effects through your bloodstream; smoking or eating it obtains the same effect because it alters your mind through the bloodstream. i don't eat my weed, but i've heard it's the way to go.

okay so i was speaking from an erroneous or unclear conclusion i'd drawn about thc..so thc is merely the chemical composition of marijuana and not some sterilized and attenuated legal pharmaceutical in pill form...eh? am i right? or still.....ahhh.. i heard pot helps joint and disk inflammation..or does it merely alter the experience of pain by blocking and or attenuating pain receptors... ...

i like to make magic muffins, with lots of pot and chocolate. they're awesome. they help me with pain. i've had the muchies after eating pot, but,...if i'm already full on muffins or whatever, then feeling the need to snack isn't really as strong as with smoking. what i find is that i get happy belly syndrome when eating pot. i'll eat a muffin, and within half an hour my stomach feels like it's smiling. considering nausea can be quite a problem for me at times, i find the smiley belly helps greatly. and eventhough i don't feel the muchies as much as with smoking, just the fact that my nausea is reduced encourages me to eat more regularly. of course, eating pot also makes me more sleepy, which also helps my insomnia. i find that when i'm eating pot, i feel no need to smoke it, whereas if someone were to offer me a muffin after smokin a bowl i'll gladly take the muffin on top of the bowl. note: if eating pot, please make sure it is organic stuff. chemically buds suck, especially for cooking with.

from what i understand, thc is one of the cannabinoids found in marihuana. http://www.lacbc.org/brain.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabinoids the synthetic 'thc pills', although soemtimes helpful, are said to be not as effective as whole plant material, because they do not contain all the compounds in marihuana which work together to produce the therapeutic benefits that many experience from 'real' pot. http://www.marijuana-as-medicine.org/Overview%20-%20Part%20IV.htm http://www.mapinc.org/newsnorml/v04/n545/a11.html http://www.brainyencyclopedia.com/encyclopedia/m/me/medical_marijuana.html

One of the predominant arguments in support of the use of the herb in medicine is it's effect on curbing nausea and stimulating appetite, which makes it a perfect counterbalance to the side effects of chemotherapy.

"if someone were to offer me a muffin after smokin a bowl i'll gladly take the muffin on top of the bowl." i mean because smokin the bowl helps overcome the nausea, helping me to eat the muffin,..and then after having a muffin or two (depending on the strength of said muffins) i don't need/want anything to smoke for the rest of such a given day.

it is my advice that anyone wanting to use marihuana should first read/learn as much as they can about it,... it is always/often good to discuss new things (especially medications) with someone who is experienced/knowledgable. i recommend talking to one's doctor(s) about it if possible,...(though of course many/most people might find that option completely unavailable)
