blather_wallpapered
Doar This has been hugging my brainpan for some time now.

I have some ideas about how to go about it but I'm a bit worried about the image loss when trying to grow the images.

Any ideas, anyone?

birdmad literal interior wallpaper are you saying?

or do you mean of the desktop variety

as for the desktop, image degradation when stretched is mostly inevitable

as for the literal interior variety, a low-tech and rather painstaking intermediary solution of a moderate sized image projected and then hand-applied to a blather colored backdrop paper

(always seems to know the hard way to do stuff)

Doar christ birdy, you sound like me when I'm asked to perform graphics acrobatics for the bosses daughter signature (using scanning, bitmap and that fucking square erasure tool) on her resume.

. oh geez .

I may have answered my own pondering.

Doar and yes, I was thinking of plastering a wall or walls with blatherings.

sigh.

would that make my past the point of insanity?

unhinged i used to write down all my poetry type blathes in a journal in case blather ever disappeared. (and i liked to chronologically gather ALL my poems in one place)

maybe you could write blathes down on some kind of paper and decoupage them to the walls?

unhinged or i also saw an interesting installation in an art/lab studio when i was visiting my brother. the guy took push pins and hung up all the articles/papers/photos of his life on a bulletin board.

maybe you could tack up the papers if you need something a little less permanent.

unhinged you could even buy nice dark blue paper and light blue gel ink pens or something. hey hey

jane nice idea!
although the wall would have to be smooth enough to write on, and often times pens don't work in the horizontal position.
there is some way to get a photocopy as a stencil or something like that... similar to a tattoo stencil... and you could just run your blathe through there...
this is turning unfeasible.
i would probably just make letter stencils and spray paint the title, and then hand paint the words.
need a ruler for the underlining.

daxle A decent copy place can blow up an image file into poster size without much quality loss (if I understand correctly that you want to enlarge the scale) but it'd be expensive to cover a large space. If it were me I would stick to favorite phrases and stencil them randomly about the room, sparsely, then maybe try to imitate the logo, or print it on transparency film. 070915

u24 the images are, for the most part, artistically blurred and pixelated anyway, so any degradation of quality would blend in fairly well, I think. 080507
