the raven is the harbinger of the sad, the hurt, the unhappy, the sorrowful, the downcast, the dispirted, the sorry, the depressed, the desolate, the morose, the pensive, the careworn, the sick, the crushed, the lamenting, the mournful, the grieving, the joyless, the crestfallen, the troubled, the morbid, ... the people no longer of this earth. ~

although i think as it relates to my physical stature i guess i chould have been corvuscorax as the common raven is much larger than the mexican raven the tail of my coat hangs over the edge of the block fence like tailfeathers

there is a girl that hangs out downtown named Raven. actually, i think she may have moved. in any case, shes the most amazing woman. shes in her early twenties think. she is soooo strong. shes like amazingly fit and powerful, and beautiful. but i mean not only physically...she is smart and unique and...amazing. i can't put into words how in awe i am of her. she has dark black hair (isn't black hair always dark?...) and is really pale. She kinda looks like she could be gothic. has some goth like clothes, but shes not...gothic. anyways, thats raven.

the poem to end all poems, that I once spent hours memorizing, just to look like a genius, and possibly to pay tribute to the writer, (who knows, eh?) The poem that quickly fell from my memory. Damn I hold onto garbage, but the good stuff goes right through me. Just another reason why I'm a bottom feeder....

"Prothet!" I cried, "Thing of evil! Prophet still, if bird or devil! Whether tempter sent or tempest tossed thee hear apon the shore! Is there balm in Gilliad? Tell me! Tell me!I Implore!" Quoth the raven, "Nevermore." I recomend the book of the complete works of Edgar Allen Poe. It includes all his stories, published poems, and unbublished works from his youth. The read is a bit difficult, but i'ts worth it. The poems are diffinatly worth a good study....

one of favorite poe poems. the raven is considered in several different cultures to be a bringer of ill omen, or it just plain represents evil.

and the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain, thrilled me, filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before...so to still the beating of my heart I stood repeating, tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door, some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door, merely this and nothing more....
