blather_versus_television hooked on blather i was taking notice of how much time i spend on blather. thinking about the hours that might be spent doing something more important. then i realized. what is the difference between a few hours watching TV or being entertained by an interactive thing called blather. i can think of many reasons why it is better for my brain. even the times it seems brainless or addictive, i know that there is creativity involved, that TV simply isn't. Some might say a comparision between the two is ridiculous. maybe it's the way i use blather as a way to relax after a hard day of work. i used to watch TV alot more, but besides the_news, and the educational channels, it doesn't do much for me these days. with only so many hours in the day to do whatever you feel like it, blather feels like time well spent. 040405 ... honk if yeer horny i bet you havent turned off your computer yet 040405 ... i wrote this blathe yep, it's still on. but my tv ain't on. 040405 ... misstree "i used to be a cokehead, but now i'm just an alcoholic and life is grrrrreat!" 040406 ... ha . 050103 ... pobodys nerfect behold the comparison! tv ~has lots of fast-food commercials on(it seems)every time there's a commercial break ~reminds you of what a loser you are for not owning the latest gas-guzzling car ~you haven't had the urge to buy anything in the last 5 minutes for your home or a loved one?! o.0 Shame on you! You'll burn in hell and be a terrible mother/wife/husband/etc.(whichever applies)for not doing so. ;) blather ~offers healthy snacks. Ok,we all know it doesen't really,but there's a page with healthy recipes on it you can make, and that's sort of the same thing,right? ~sure you may FEEL like a loser for not having the latest gas-guzzling car,but there's people HERE that are in the same situation as you! Yay for strength in numbers and all that jazz! =D Bonus: you'll(hopefully)never see one of those stupid cheezy used car commercials here!
