SonyaKitty A principle not to be abandoned and Nader will win one day...that is if we don't blow ourselves into a billion pieces by the next election.

I often think about what it means to vote and realize that it means so much more than just punching a hole in some small piece of paper that will get thrown into a huge pile. It means that my family made it here when so many others didn't. It means that I have a freedom, no a privilege, other young women will never know. So I go to the polls, and I vote, but it's a lot more than that. I'm embracing something my parents nearly killed themselves for. This all floods through my mind everytime someones says "please vote" and I can't forget these things even if I wanted to.

bet you I can never quite work out why more than half the population votes for someone different to me. And to make matters stranger...I never meet those people. 071010
