as a side dish, good with pretty much anything: sauté potatoes, cooked in oil and a shot or two of port, add some herbs, maybe paprika or cayenne pepper if you fancy a nice tang to it, fry to taste. I like em crispy, but not so solid they snap in half.

chocolate amaretto cheesecake from hell Take your favourite basic plain cheesecake recipe and add the following Filling: Add 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder or bakers chocolate to filling mixture and 2 tbsp almond extract as well as 1/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips or well-broken chunks (if using a blcok of chocolate, some chopping or dicing may be in order, making sure none of the pieces are too large Crust: substitute chocolate graham crackers for regular graham crackers Shell: (this is the fun part) Take 6 to 8 oz (200 - 250g approx) of your favourite brand of semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate and melt in a double boiler set to medium-low to avoid scorching. Mix in a little amaretto (to taste) If you like, substitute a half and half mixture of white chocolate melted in a separate boiler and either swirled with the darker chocolate upon application or as a separate layer painted onto the dark chocolate both for taste and visual effect (shell should be applied after cheesecake has been bked and given time to set)

at the moment, i don't have any recipes to contribute (i am still trying to a make the most delectible choice). but i do have a quick dinner that would fall into the category of: blather_leftovers_swap_meet meals_for_people_on_a_budget classic_irishmexican_recipes i_need_to_go_grocery_shopping sounds_gross_but_actually_good_food it's this simple. take some corned beef hash, and fry it in a pan. put some corn tortillas in the oven, or another pan, till warm. add cheese on tortillas if desired. add corned beef hash to tortillas and devour. i actually can't take credit for this recipe. it was my boyfriend's idea, and i thought it was delicsh.
