i'm not prowd of my country, give me one reason to be, "to brave men" i graffitied on that in very small letters, - to brave men -"that wank"

sorry but you know its not heroic to kill peole for land no matter what colour or race you are.

the British empire left behind so much shit that we don't want to be responsible for it, we mostly got up and left, left people to fight amongst themselves.

We owe Africa more than gold or money, things have repercussions mostly due to selfishness and prejudice.

Belief determines reality Guess what dude, the histories of Zimbabwe and the Songhai have atrocities, too. The British are not the sole culprit. Scapegoating solves but few problems. If you dislike America, no one stops you from leaving. I, too, am critical of many aspects of this nation, but if you can find "nothing to be proud of", you are either blind, ignorant, or stupid. Look again, or emigrate elsewhere. 070705

Lady Lightness It was an intense day. Early morning class we start off covering multiple personality disorder (now known as dissociative identity disorder, and I still can't figure out why). First the professor gives a nice cheery example of how stressful and abusive environments would trigger the alters to switch, in a 7 year old girl abused by her drunk father ("martha would come up afterwards to clean up the blood and remove any evidence."). Child abuse at 9 am is enough, and then he says, "if you ever meet someone with this disorder, treat them with a lot of empathy because they have been through worse hells than you can imagine" (something like that)- And then I remember about T, who gave me hsvII, who acted really weird about it afterwards, who told me he is a multiple, who told me of the horrific abuse he endured and had to witness for years, who had the words on his mirror "We are T." It's this knowledge, this fact, this little bit of reality that had escaped my mind for a YEAR- it shook me and struck me and I don't know what to do with it. Have empathy? Have it excuse his neglectful irresponsible behavior? Maybe i'll bring it up in therapy tomorrow. 070705
