Porn is addictive the same way ciggerrettes or chocolate milk is. Its not really good for you but it tastes great, feels good, and is readily available. Hard to resist. Discipline will get you over it. Be your own parent on this one.
I would say that porn is particulaly harmful because it instills false expectations about what a sexual experience generally is. It also leads to premature ejaculation in intimate situations.

because your porn will never tell you anything you didn't already know that it didn't mean, nor will it eject itself from the player in mid-scene because it's pining for the last vcr or dvd player it was in before and because you rarely have to worry about finding porn in a format that everyone else but you can indulge

I find porn to either boring or disturbing, often times a mix of both. When renting porn I do so to try and understand why others find it so appealing and just end up turning it off halfway through feeling disgusted with myself and in need of a shower and one of those bright plastic scowering pads and yet no closer to finding others reason for porn’s intrigue and hold on them.
