The worst cause of sorrow for a father, who usually knows very well what is the true nature of the guys they will invariably meet...

Some songs I hear on the radio, I actually like. John Mayer's "Daughters" is one of them. I know a girl. She puts the color inside of my world. She's just like a maze, Where all of the walls all continually change. I've done all I can To stand on the steps with my heart in my hand, But I'm starting to think Maybe it's got nothing to do with me. Fathers be good to your daughters; Daughters will love like you do, yeah. Girls become lovers who turn into mothers, So mothers be good to your daughters, too. Oh, you see that skin; It's the same she's been standing in Since the day you two met. I bet I was on your mind Never never anytime. Fathers be good to your daughters; Daughters will love like you do, yeah. Girls become lovers who turn into mothers, So mothers be good to your daughters, too. Boys you can break, You find out how much they can take. Boys will be strong, and boys soldier on, But boys would be gone without warmth From a woman's good, good heart On behalf of every man, looking out for every girl, You are the god, and the weight of her world. On behalf of every man whose looking out for every girl, You are the god, and the weight of her world. Fathers be good to your daughters, Daughters will love like you do, yeah. Girls become lovers who turn into mothers, So mothers be good to your daughters, too.

"...Researchers from Oxford University in Oxford, England, have identified seven ancestral matriarchal groups from which all Europeans appear to be descended. These maternal clans form the root of a family tree that has sprouted millions of individuals. Every European, according to the study, can trace his or her evolutionary history back to the seven ancestral mother groups, also referred to as the Seven Daughters of Eve. The researchers, who both discovered and formulated the genetic groupings, say these women would have lived between 8,000 to 45,000 years ago...Further, all seven of the genetic groups appear to be descended from the “Lara” clan, one of three clans that still exist today in Africa. This supports the African Eve theory, proposed in the late ’80s by biochemist Allan Wilson, Mark Stoneking and others, which states that all humans share a common African ancestor. Wilson and his colleagues used the same genetic material, mtDNA, for their study..." http://www.duffus.com/sundaynews9_9_01/daughters_of_eve.htm
