Zoe everyone used to say that i lived in a shell. it wasn't my fault i didn't like to speak to people. well, look at me now, they can't get me to shut up! ha ha ha! sometimes, in the middle of trying to be social and outgoing i think back to when i was "in my shell" and smile. i sort of want to go back in. 000718

meg A long time ago I found a tiny tiny little shell on a beach in Wales. It was about the size of a babies tooth. It was a a pink and creamy colour with 'animal like' print along the back. I had a some trouble keeping it withy me all day as it was really so iccle. I took it with me when we went to get scones from this little cafe that we someones front room! I took it with me when I waded up to my knees in the water to get closer to some puffins.
I took it home and put it in a little wooden box. I cast a spell so that the little shell would bring me happiness. I have never looked at it since.

fanta I like my shell sometimes. It is a safe place for me to retreat when I feel like the world is a bit much to take, when the world gets really stormy. It's like a temporary calm from the storm that allows me the chance to gather up my gear and go face the rain and wind. To gather up my energy. Sometimes I like it too much. 010622

Keemeers I remember one time I collected all these shells on the beaches in Cozumel and Grand Cayman. I was so happy and I had them all in the ashtray in my room on the cruise ship.

Then the cabin boy threw them out.

That wasn't all that great afterall.

eklektic i have a cowrie shell bracelet that actually belongs to my mom that i wear quite frequently. i have all summer in fact. but now it has more meaning to me. during my week at camp i met a person who means a lot to me (see: model). he wore a lot of cowrie shells and one in his hair. i told him i'd pray for him and he said he'd do the same for me. so now, when i put the bracelet on or even look at it, i'm reminded not only to pray for him right then, but to pray - continually. 020728
