aside from that quibble, you are most likely right that the precautions seem like just another way to whip up a bit of fear.

I find the timing of this odd in that "it-would-seem-like-coincidence-if-didn't-know-it-wasn't" sort of way based on the fact that we are just days removed from the five year anniversary of the warning that Bush chose to ignore about 9/11 (August 6, 2001, Presidential Daily Briefiing entitled "BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO STRIKE INSIDE U.S.")

combine that with two of Bush's domestic political allies getting their asses handed to them earlier this week (Joe Lieberman losing his primary and Tom Delay being forced to stay on the ballot even though he is electoral poison) and factor in the fact that there are congressional and senatorial elections coming in just over two and a half months and you can just smell the manipulation. 		060810
