my grandpa had a polaroid camera when i was little. on holidays he would pull it out and take pictures of everyone. it was like magic to me when i was a little girl. shaking out the newly taken picture and waiting for it to dry then getting to see it immediately. kinda like a digital camera but tangible.

(one year my mom gave my sister and i land pack polaroid cameras on the same day. there are a series of photos that we took of each other, her with her 35 mm slr and her boyfriend shooting us with a 16mm bolex. the movies from the bolex exist too.)
