turbo buttens were a marketing scheme devised long ago. you must have an old computer. they were set up so that you could underclock your system to play older games. but since, psychologically, having a "slow" button or somesuch woulnd't go over too well, they decided to have it be a "Turbo" button which the masses would leave on all the time, making them think they had magically overclocked their systems by "pushing teh butt0n!!!!1!one!"

my web surfin' computer has a "turbo button" but it isn't hooked up to anything.
My copmuter case is an old AT case that used to have a 386 in it. Now it has an AT/ATX mother board that can fit in the old AT case and use the old AT power supply. Its still only a 300mhz cpu though. old.
