Between last year and July 3rd, they painted the bathrooms at Blossom. Now a dark chocolately brown covers what used to be the graffiti covered wood doors and walls. I'd sit and read everyone's entries, usually the name of the concert and the year and the person's name... or love messages and the like. So I took my permanent blue marker and very very neatly wrote, just above the toliet paper dispenser, "Hello, Tracee" in one, and a favourite e. e. cummings poem in the other.

There used to be a restaurant near my house that had chalkboards and chalk in the bathroom stalls. I thought that was an excellent idea. Apparently that doesn't hold a restaurant together though, because it closed a few years ago.

chalkboards in the bathroom? you know, that's not a bad idea. it might cut down on some bathroom graffiti, although that will never totally go away. it's still a kind of neat idea though. but then you'd get people complaining about chalk dust i bet.

i went to a tapas bar where the bathrooms were covered with lip prints, writing. you take a red or black marker and write what you want, and you put on lots of lipstick and kiss the wall. it was kasey's birthday so we wrote her a long birthday message. she drew a droopy penis on the other wall.

there was a bog at my college tucked away in this semi-secret location, so hardly anyone every went there, and there were 2 stalls, one with a black door and one with a shiney red one, and on the back of the red door, carved deep into the surface with a hard working biro, were the words i see a red door and i want to paint it black not knowing it was a rolling stones reference, i loved it. it jsut seemed so perfect. i never saw anyone in that bathroom it was jsut me and these two unmatching doors, one which quietly pined to be like the other.
