your virtue would be in danger. if i find out, in the end of my searching, who i am, how much will i find? i don't know any more, how, or what it's for. and you don't know any more than me. i know one thing. i want to love. i want to be loved. it's impossible to be all evil, because if you're all evil there's no such thing as a flaw...

you must first define "evil" is it the evil that men do to please themselves? the evil that men do to evil men? the evil that only goes against authority for the fun of it (mischievous evil)? the evil that is the opposite of religious good? the evil that is done in the name of a religious group's god? or is the evil that's really, really good? ("Dude, that was sooo evil!!"

In order for good to be possible, evil must exist. It is no more of a flaw than up is. Evil is necessary as an element in existence. This is not to say that it needs to be practiced, but it is inevitable in the scheme of things. "Evil" will occur, and we will all be guilty of it, even if we did by accident and without intention. It is also malleable; it changes depending on who is defining it. It is an abstract.

evil things are bad things, just as flaws are bad things. It's not like up versus down. It's interesting that, while people will disagree all day about what is correct, they can all quickly point to the things that are evil.

I have to disagree. Flaws are only bad things based on an individual's perspective. A person's flaws can also be their strengths. And people often find a person's faults endearing. Facial flaws are what makes a person looks unique. And it is just like up and down. They are both present in reality and necessary, but they are also very relative. There is no point where up ends and down begins, unless you place an object there. It is a relative perspective....just like evil is. But this all a matter of opinion. People argue about what is good and people argue about what is evil. Its when it gets to extremes that people often stop arguing. Most people will agree that saving someone's life who wants to be saved is a good thing. While people will agree that brutally torturing someone for pleasure is evil. But even these things can be argued as well. But most things fall into the murky gray area and arguments can be made either way. But you are right....it is easier to point to bad/evil things.

My opinion on this hasn't change much. But things are much murkier now than they were.
