Syrope tonight i asked you questions i'd been afraid to ask before. you answered honestly but not objectively, and it hurt. and for the second time this week i beat my head against the nearest surface without really realizing it. i'm scared this is becoming a trend. i didn't mean to scare you. but you shouldn't have left me the way you did. i wish i hadn't run away...
and your footsteps down the hall to follow me, were...more to me than you know. but instead of taking me in your arms and holding me, you braced yourself over me and glared. i don't know what you were thinking, but your eyes frightened me, and now you could be gone forever.

somehow this - my life...this summer...god, just US - is going to turn out to be something beautifully poetic. the perfect_metaphor. something so that i cannot feel this way forever. but for now

it just hurts

FireNRoses "You know how when someone lays with their back to you and you lay behind them really close and you throw one arm over them?"

"It's called spooning."

"Yeah, but you gotta put the other arm somewhere. You can either lay on it or shove it between your bodies. The only other option is to stretch it above your head. But sometimes my arm pops out of socket when I'm sleeping like that. So I was constantly searching for someplace to keep my arm while still laying close to her."

"And?"

"What do you mean, "and?" That's like a metaphor for our whole relationship."
