who_owns_blather hsg i don't get it. where did it come from? last i remember reading like 5 years ago it was made by a couple of harvard guys as an experiment. but that could be way off. insight? 090616 ... amy it was a couple of guys from harvey mudd college, which actually does exist, in southern california. they mostly thought it up (dallas) and wrote the code (sage), and let it go, fixing things when needed. i have no idea where it stands now. i used to know them (i went to harvey mudd too), but they've never answered my emails about blather, so they can just be the scientists with the monkeys, if they want to... oh, yeah, but monkeys don't use language (in real life) and neither do they (on this site) so i don't really know what they do with it or what they plan to do with it, or what model they truly want to use. i have used this site because I was really confused about grad_school and coming down with schizo-whatever. i did have to talk to somebody and hear others talk. it has probably helped me more than hurt me. now it's a matter of trying to find my voice to write more accomplished things. 090616 ... The server, code, etc are Dallas and Sage's. blather_gods? 090616 ... meta meta 090616 ... silentbob I remember it being attached to new dream, newdream.net or newdream.com or something, which was this site with all kinds of art links and different things like that. like an internet commune almost. there was this thing similar to blather but with graphic images. user contributed. it was amazing. and you could paint over other people's work. pretty interesting. but all that is just a distant memory now. newdream hasn't been a thing in years and blather is all that is left as far as i can tell 090616 ... ergo I do,and that reminds me that rent is past due.
