I define moments and periods of my life by what book or poem or song was playing in the background of my mind at the time. I read "Jude the Obscure" the summer before 9th grade, and I finished the book during one of my little brother's baseball games. The first time I heard the song "Hey Jude" was when we played it in pep band, but we all didn't play it very well, and we haven't played it very much, which is sad because I really liked the song.
