Hawaii does have a killer sky, I must admit. one of the best observatories in the US? the world? well, one of the best...is in hawaii, on Mauna Kea. its no wonder. even the streetlamps have to be a certain shade/wattage(is that even a word?)/whatever in my town so as to have as little interference as possible with the night sky. So i am alone with the dark and pinpricks revealing pieces of heaven that lie behind the cool shade are glimmering madly for some attention. and the more I smile to the sky, the bigger the holes get and I am bits closer the heaven as they widen to encompass me in their world of lucid dreams. Slowly, the clouds unravel and i bite my lip, anticipation bleeding from my grin... the sky is magnificent and many words I do not know, infinite words and songs and miles and worlds and space stretching so far from me, yet i feel so secure under the brisk embrace of this dome, so close to heaven, so far away from everything else.

I walked far away from the lights to the beach really te only Good place around here to look up I looked up to the millions of other stars. Millions of other worlds millions of other me's Wanting to hold you Came there thinking You were so far awya. I looked up to my constant friends My other worlds Constantly changing But not in my life time. Constant to me. I realized how ver close you were and rejoiced you were here on this rock in this life. That I had found you and you me. And it didn't matter if you were in love with me. Or ever would be, because we had once had love. And if we made it this far to this planet, this life, thi beach, this love, We would both also make it to where we were suposed to be. ANd I knew until I gave life up, you would be with me. In me with me just me. More constant than the starry sky.

wattage is a word. I wish I could see the starry_sky more often. But, alas, we don't have wattage restrictions on our lampposts, and therefore the sky is usually lit orange from streetlights. which are orange in the UK, but maybe not in America. but yes. they obscure the beauty of the night. which is rather inconsiderate of the designers, I mean, how would -they- feel if I decided to light up the day sky and obscure the sun, huh? huh? yeah. :P

skies are orange here too. Any place with half decent public transportation has an orange sky.
