What is Danny elfman's connection to them? Is he a member of the band, or does he just collaborate with music writing or something? 010106 ... jennifer Danny Elfman is sort of the founder of the *band* Oingo Boingo. And that started after the acting troupe The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo (yes, there is that second "the" in there) disbanded (founded by Danny's brother Richard). He writes all of their music (most all, at least) and sings lead vocals. That right? 010106 ...
