I'm not listening to the song where the chorus goes "I kissed a girl, I liked it, the taste of her cherry chapstick..." etc. I AM listening to Stravinsky's Rite of Spring, however, and its first four notes are the same as the notes of "I kissed a girl", though in a different rhythm and perhaps in a different key. In Stravinsky, the notes are C going down to B going down to G going down to E. It's really quite a beautiful sequence.
So when you're not bitonal you still might be bi-curious. You never know. And , while on the subject of comparisons, may I note that the repeated semitones of one 50 Cent song that contains the lyrics "I'll be a nympho if you'll be a nympho" (yes, it really does, and also note that I'm terrible with song names) reminds me of Carl Orff's "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana.
