“The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps half, may simply be untrue.” - Dr. Richard Horton, current editor-in-chief, The Lancet “It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine." - Marcia Angell - Editor, The New England Journal of Medicine 1979 - 2000

Watching the history arc of science follow practically the same arc as religion has been interesting. We wonder where "Dark Ages" come from? Those given the chance to lead us into a better place, follow their basest urges for approval, success, comfort and status straight into the arms of our parasitic masters. They lighten their material load by placing it on the backs of our own struggling spirits. The rich are a drain on any spirit who entertains their need. Multiples of countless dead moths lie at the bottom of countless lanterns, a metaphor for our pointless, fruitless search for the sun in the artificial "light" of power, money and clueless leaders, a search that has gone on for millenia. So it's been interesting to watch and wonder who's going to drop dead next worshipping the tapeworms that've infested their gut and deemed it progress.
