safeway endless desire they really don't have very many safeways in southern california but then i come up here to northern california and they are all over the place. i was tempted to buy flowers. . .just to say i did. they even have commercials. to me, safeway has always been like one of those small name sodas. you know? the ones that are a lot cheaper at costco? or the imitation cereal? or daf's huggy bears. things like that. i didn't realize it was actually big up here. figures. everything is better outside of southern california. 030702 ... x it's a very scary place after you've been shopping at co-ops for awhile. the produce is artificially ripened. waxed, gassed, genetically designed to look pretty while tasting awful. everything else is highly manufactured and stuffed into bright packaging, which makes the weight/volume of the actual product look much larger than it actually is. you will find dairy in your potato chips. you will find chemicals which do not occur anywhere in nature, if you bother to read the ingredients at all. grey processed, reprocessed, and repackaged flesh lays out in conditions which only hasten the rotting process. the flourescent lights glare so you can get a good look at the blueberry muffin mix made with real apples. i stole roses from safeway once. 030702 ...
