fyn gula content with the fun he was having sliding up and back on the letter "U" that hung in place along with the other letters in his name, a giant amusement park attraction in the sky, saumboo did a backwards one and a half with a twist and then realized he was not sure which way it was to rynomari.

he did notice, however, upon closer inspection that the letters of his name were suspended in the cloudless blue sky by near invisible strings that were attached to the transparent bodies of topaz-winged butterflies too numerous to count and practically impossible to see, especially if you are without proper spectacles like saumboo was.

he thought he would attempt questioning them for directional assistance, asking in english, unsure of what language, if any, that they spoke.

no response.

but then, like the creeping buzz that affectionately comes upon one after the priviledge of sipping fine montegrappa, saumboo felt the answer coming to him not by the exchange of verbage, more so by telepathy, as if butterfly knowledge was rain and saumboo's brain was the soil that absorbed it. and what they told him was this:

"follow your heart and not your soul."

and then as if a strong wind suddenly forced them to take course of action, the butterflies departed and saumboo experienced their fond farewell as if they embraced him like one who is sorry to leave, but of necessity must.

"we hope you find what you are looking for," they communicated and saumboo, not sure if he could return the transfer of information "speaking" as it were like a butterfly, said, "thank you." he waved goodbye.

he was puzzled though. watching his name slowly disappear from view, having trouble seeing anything without his glasses and wondering where the gnome was, he was now further confused by what was told to him.

what was the difference between following the heart and following the soul?
