sabbie_answers_farmfish sabbie dear farmfish aus plates have different colouring depending on the state. underneath in little writing is always some lame sentance telling other people what they should be proud of about their state. ~NSW plates are yellow with a black border and 3 letters followed by 3 numbers ( hrv-482 ) and they say down the bottom 'the first state' ~victorian plates are white with a green border and numbers and letters and they have 'the garden state' or the newer ones have 'victoria-on the move' ~queensland plates are the same colours as victorian plates but they have the numbers first and the letters next. their lame saying is 'the sunshine state' ~autraitlan capital territory's plates are white with blue letters and numbers and all start with 'y' and they used to say 'the national capital' but now say 'feel the power' which canberra's government nicked word for word from americans pro-westling, or some kind of sport which i found pretty funny. ~ south austrailan number plates are white with black numbers and letters and they are the festival state, aparently. -the northern territoy plates are white with a rusty, dusty, red-centre kind of brown coloured numbers and letters with 'NT- outback austraila' on them. ~tasmaina has white with light green and they are your natural state and WA had been the goldern state, the home of the americas cup, and WA- the excitement state, all in yellow and black. you can find pictorial represetations on http://www.realnet.com.au/ozplates/home.htm (scarey, huh) 011217 ... farmfish thanx for all the info sabbie. quite thorough work. 011218 ... sabbie .:shrugs:. i had the day off work. i spent it on blather. well, inbetween planting garlic and spreading horsepoo and taking apart my newly purchased yellow-and-blue shelves to paint the yellow bits black and cleaning the house and dying on skirts and reading my book and eating sandwiches and washing the dishes and going to yoga. 011218 ... cube ever notice how women are so much more productive? manufacturing companies around the world know this ... 011218 ... sabbie oh, and i forgot my grand curtains. i had to walk tdown to the hardware store and buy dowel to put up as a curtain rod and then i took down the buttfuckenugly flowered curtains that were here and put up the black velvet ones and this cool lace stuff thats black and grey and white and now the bedroom looks much more like ours and not just a room we inhabit. i think of all the things i did today i was proudest of the curtains. and the monumental_blather_effort 011218 what's it to you? who go blather from
