affame_le_geant_three_choices_not_chosen
fyn gula as the questions swirled about couge oktuber's mind concerning the use and ownership of puppertwinkle's flesh, the trinity of factions all vying for the serviceable capacity of dennis browne, both the immediate and distant future of kemulya and the responsible role he now played in all of these regards, he was irrevocably faced with a vital decision that would affect generations to come. one day, kemulyan schoolchildren would write essays based on his choice at this historical moment in time.

there were three things that couge could do...

1. the most obvious choice and the one which would best protect himself and his family would be to simply turn over the mandrill to cayris foxglove and "the insufferable hunger of the damned."

it would:

a. please the perpetrators
b. excuse couge and his family of any conjunction with proina or boffden
c. reinstate the calm of the "let us eat lettuce" farm

2. he could tell cayris foxglove that the mandrill was brought to his house for medical attention and then left on her own volition.

it would:

a. be a lie and carry the threat of its actual truth being discovered.
b. cause cayris foxglove to order a thorough search of the house and farm
c. risk the life of himself and family

3. he could agree to turn the mandrill over to cayris foxglove urging her not to reveal the whereabouts of puppertwinkle's flesh

it would:

a. give him and his family the opportunity to reclaim puppertwinkle's flesh and find another mandrill to reattach it so boffden's plan could continue.
b. run the risk of cayris foxglove's ability to force the truth out of the mandrill before couge and his family could get to it
c. place himself and his family in severe danger with both cayris foxglove and proina when they discovered their compliance with boffden.

he chose none of these options. instead he did something very stupid.
