Lialei There was a land overcome with energies...

some sprite and wanton,
some aggressive, oppressive, overbearing

The fewest it seemed
of a gentleness, witnessing
quietly
all unseen.

In this land lived a gentle man,
who keen of hearing
and seeing,
felt the energies tangle
in herds
all around him,
spreading forth over
the soft earth and overcome.

Each day at twilight
he lifted his heart to the stars,
seeing them again anew
in their glory
and empty the crowded vessel
of his spirit.

Throughout the days,
the freer his spirit,
the more crowding,
louder, more oppressive
the energies became
than the day before...

Until at times he succumbed
to the overwhelming forces,
the pale voice of his spirit
collapsing in exhaustion.

At times,
allowing the rash energies
to shake his body
entirely
in their miserable
jerking rhythms.

Yet somehow,
strange even to his self
how the heavy shaking
in itself alighted...

each next
golden morn,
he would
find himself
bare as just born, stepping
upon the rustic road
that weaves beyond
the horizon
once again.

flowerock Pillow_Mountain this lovely poem/story reminds me of this book. The author is much like the man in this syory here. In tune, kind, open, a child servant of the earth and human experience. I recomend it if you can find it. 140531
