birdmad walking southward from gbs_0002 you may notice that there are occasionally buses running east and west, but none running north-south.

a bit of a stroll is in order to make any real progress southward.

along the west side of the street heading south are some more apartment complexes. The northernmost of these is home to a wide variety of people ethnically and psychologically (a number of the mental patients who were living in my complex when i first moved there now live in this place. Since this complex had a reputation for being somewhat noisy, the daffodils were regarded as less of a nuisance than they were where i live)

the next complex is unremarkable as is the one after it.

another string of storefronts is next, including another Vietnamese restaurant also known for the incredibly low prices and for the greatness of its Pho, a predominantly Vietnamese bar and adjacent billiard hall, another dollar store, a strip club where i did a brief stint as a bouncer many years ago when it was run under a different name by a small family of tax-evading gents, a Circle K and the place to catch the Route 19 bus coming south from it's rail-project induced detour.

grendelbirdmadsatan we've reached the intersection with the southbound bus stop.

on the southwestt corner is a fairly busy looking mechanic's garage, a beauty salon a predominantly Mexican bar and then some shops with a mixture of English and Arabic on their store fronts.

The baba_ghanouj at the specifically Middle Eastern restaurant is lovely, and the sausage calzone from the pizzeria ain't bad either.

Here comes the bus.
