splash of orange i spent about 3 months in england earlier this year. sometime in may i did the obligatory abbey road visit,
and:
while i was walking back to the tube station, i noticed an older man unloading groceries. such a common occurrence, bringing groceries home.
a loaf of bread subtly tried to jump out of the bag, the plastic wrap brush
brush
brushing at his neck.

it made me wonder if, decades ago, during a leisurely walk down the street, perhaps he'd brushed past some guy with a guitar. some guy with boundless talent on his way to record.
some guy about to make history.

oh, the irony
of things so ordinary located just steps away from the extraordinary.
