silentbob when i was looking at the cover of the november 7 issue of newsweek magazine (or was it time? or is their a difference?) at first i thought i saw a picture of George Bush's head. But it looked awkward, somehow... just not right.
Half was Gore and half was Bush. i didn't even recognize them as seperate faces, in my head, it all just came together as a dumb looking picture of bush.

misstree edit the language, edit the perception.
example: political correctness.
remove the word, remove the symbolic signifier. see also _anthem_ by ayn_rand for result of loss of the word "I" and any indicators of individual aside from group.

would concepts exist if their signifiers were removed from each mind's lexicon? it is possible other signifiers could combine to form such, if a term was needed (interaolwebnet.com would be a useless term 10 years ago), but if what is signified is not experienced in life, there is no need for a term.
