when i was having stomach problems i got this stuff from one of those whole earth organic co-op grocery stores called ginger wonder. it was this syrup that you put in sparkling water to make ginger ale, or in hot water to make tea. me, i was in so much pain i would just take shots.

It would, and does, taste like whatever it is exactly that Canada Dry "Ginger Ale" tastes like... which doesn't taste like real ginger ale. Northern Neck Bottling Company (a subsidiary of Coca-Cola, located in Montross, VA) makes REAL gigner ale, sold as "Northern Neck Ginger Ale" and "Carver's Ginger Ale". Real ginger, real cane sugar, all kinds of goodness. Canada Dry is CRAP. If you're not fortunate enough to find either of these on your local store shelves (and ONLY then**), you can order directly from NNBC here: http://www.realgingerale.com/dispatch?flash=y ** - the online ordering option is only available if you are outside of their normal distribution area. If you are, buy some. You won't be disappointed.

Oh, I should also say - Northern Neck Ginger Ale and Carver's are not precisely, but very nearly, the same product. Most of the difference is in the packaging. NN comes in familiar 2_liter_bottles and aluminum cans. Carver's is their "premium" offering, and still comes in GLASS BOTTLES (gasp!) with an enamel painted logo (no stupid vinyl stickers). Northern Neck is an excellent ginger ale. Carver's may be the BEST ginger ale produced by a major bottler.
