Sure, I support Copywrites. But i think that the copyright holder should be open-minded about what happens. as long as someone just says, "Well, john smith said this" that should be enough, and john smith should be pleased because they thought their peice worthy of mention. just so long as people dont try to pass it off as their own. sonsabitches!

The comedy musician Alan Sherman (he wrote the song "camp grenada" ) (damn I'm old!) He tried to copyright the Key of C. The copyright office had the good sense to deny his application. In the end it's all about the money. And if you start making big dollars off the "silentbob" thing, you can bet that some Hollywood lawyer represnting "Dogma" will be at your door, looking for their cut. By the end of the last century law suits had become a way of life.

I love reading tourists blathes..I wonder where he is these days..probably free of all this (at least in my case post post adolescent angst..if you want to read an illuminating and entertaining tomb on post adolescent angst and neurosis read David Foster Wallace's "Infinite Jest" great stuff, especially if you've got a real neurotic and compulsive bent whew, this is a really long parethetical aside..)anyhoo..
