competition_of_sound
Death of a Rose I've come to realize that in our own perception of sounds surrounding us, we try to filter out sounds by either pluggin our ears or making other sounds in direct competition with the distasteful sounds.

Take for instance my underlings choice of music. Now while I do pride myself on being tolerant of a variety of musical tastes, I am becoming increasingly annoyed at the type and style of her 'stripper' music.

So I turn my own music up, currently it is Gorillaz's 'Clint Eastwood', she in turn turns her own music up in counterpoint to mine. This is an irritation. I'm am balancing her good work with her constant state of 'I know it all and will have my way no matter what' personality.

Am I wrong to expect a certain degree of professionalism?

I think not. I have the experience under my belt. She doesn't. My word isn't necessarily the law but I do expect a certain amount of respect for that hard won experience. Instead I gett this shit from her. Think I'll take the stance of asking her to do just that. Respect is earned, I know, so I have been striving to create an enjoyable work atmostphere and standards that can be looked up to.

Hmm....have I really learned anything from this little rant?

Who cares. It was fun at the time.

No regrets, right?
