the second i remember how to say "i'm great, thank you. ...and yourself?" in Chamorro, then i shall respond! ;) (i only remember select words and phrases of the language...most of it rather foul. i learned to curse in the native tongue from an elder Chamorro woman named Miss Honorario. she forced me to make lei's and grass skirts along side her every single time we had a boonie roast. she said it was because i was a slave to detail, but i think it was really because i would sit silently (hour after hour), listening to her relive world war II, not to mention all of the myths and legends of the Chamorro people and/or their collective villages. she was a very wise woman, and had a sharp tongue. it was to one's own benefit to shut the hell up when you were in her presence. anyway, i asked her how to curse in Chamorro primarily because my fingers became so sore from the stalks, and i needed to expell. when you're in Guam, do as the Chamorro's do! :) me and my incessant babbling today ::sigh::
