Gotta keep the economy strong. You know why? Because the economy is the rate at which power (and freedom) flows out of our hands and into the hands of the rich. There was a time, when a capable person with a broad range of skills could feed themselves and their family without EVER engaging "the economy." All they needed was a piece of farm land, strong teamwork, common sense, a well-rounded skill set (with the confidence that comes with them) and a good work ethic. They could have a happy, rewarding life without EVER putting a single cent into a rich man's pocket. It was hard work, for sure..but it was all for them and theirs. Interestingly enough, the trend of our so-called leaders (almost all of them from money of some sort) has been to specialize us, so that we have few skills. It has been to take our land from us. It has been to make us lazy and addicted to convenience. It has been to divide us by exaggerating our differences. It has been to spook us with all sorts of fears to keep us wanting the protections of "the economy." What sort of leaders were these? These gum flapping do nothings who drain our lives and land, so they can rent it back to us? Meanwhile, we keep letting their children stick their fingers up our butts just so we can maybe get a little more of that life back. Why? Because we spent our days in some unrewarding brick and steel box somewhere..making a richie's dreams come true. Helping them take more from our American essence and our own dreams.
