arguments
in a silent way are sometimes a little like word_sex.

they can grow out of affection,
or disdain, or pretty much anything, at any time.

you can have them in the comfort of your home, or in public places.

you can eavesdrop on other people having them, and either feel awkward about that, or get a voyeuristic thrill from the knowledge that you're privy to something you really shouldn't be.

they can be over very quickly.

they can last a very long time.

they can surprise you. someone you expect to be amazing may disappoint you. someone you expect to be disappointing may amaze you. and there will be times you're not able to perform to your satisfaction.

you can even have them with yourself.

but once they get going

in a silent way it's one of those words i forget about sometimes (like "lurch" or "furtive"), and then i'll remember it randomly and think, "man...what a great word."

it also gives me a weird feeling of comfort to know there are still words that haven't yet been blathed. good words, even.
