no, not to grok. grok is deeper than comprehend. to comprehend is to look at something outside ourselves and create some vague illusion that we understand its purpose and meaning. to grok is to erase the boudary between the comprehender and the comprehended. to be zen, to be, to... to know.
but we mere mortals of earthly upbringing must merely comprehend. but comprehension is nothing more than blinding illusion. when we 'comprehend' something, we think we have it analyzed in every detail, we think we know everything about it and accept our comprehension as truth. and there goes the awe and mystery of the unknown. and then we find out we know nothing about anything and we, as human beings, will never accept that we have not the faintest inkling of what and why.
