so my plan says, anne-girl, you can receive unlimited text-messages and there's a handy-dandy email address which forwards to my phone which clearly lends itself to all kinds of magical reminder-sending, perhaps integration with a calendar which txtmsgs me when events come up or an alarm clock to make use of that fantastically annoying ringtone but there must be something more fascinating... text message me at magnetictrashcan at gmail [dot] com, say just for fun

perhaps i'll compile some interesting quotes short bits of wisdom and tell my computer to send them me at random points throughout the day just to keep myself sane

grin... i was thinking just yesterday of creating a site where people could get that on their phones, actually... it'd be pretty trivial to do, though, i'd think... some kind of UI, rand(@quotes), &&& send the email off to phonenumber@cellprovider.com not much economic value, methinks assuming you were referring to that, of course

i'm glad i don't have text messages on my phone; the part i don't like is that when people send them to me they don't get any notice that my phone doesn't receive them and then they get all pissed when i ignore their text... a symphony orchestra is a weird thing cause you have all these people sitting on stage working together to create one piece of art but the amount of time that everyone plays at once is very limited. so a three hour rehearsal can amount to a lot of sitting around especially for brass players and percussionists. at uwm, people would text each other during rehearsal. i thought that was a little rude, but then again, i play the violin so i'm never sitting around for very long during rehearsals. mixed blessing i suppose.
